Abner, as his name was the light of her life. He had all that she wanted. Her face would light up by just a mere thought of Abner. His face would light up thousand bulbs in her heart. Whenever he smiled, she fell for him time and again. He knew what he meant to her, he could read her smile. Though Abner never understood what she wrote but he knew she loved him.
Noor was his light. She was his sunshine. Noor was full of life and she knew what she wanted. Her life was full of joy and happiness. Abner was constantly on her mind, no matter where she went what she did. What she felt for him was never brave enough to look for words. Words would fail to say it the way she would want to. Its an extraordinary thing to meet someone who will except you for what you are, when she met Abner she was happy.
It was Noor’s birthday and she wanted to be with him, all day long all the time. He knew it, as he read her mind each and every time. They planned the day, when they would have their own quality time. Being with Abner was a celebration for Noor. As she wanted he was the first one to wish her a happy birthday and to tell her that she is loved. Nothing else mattered, at least for Noor.
There was peace when they were together even though the world was whining. Though there was each and everything in their lives that they wanted but what they had together was found nowhere. Like always, even that day they hit the road for their road trip. He picked her up from their usual point and they drove through the crowed world but inside the car was their world, serene and calm, content and happy.
It was a perfect winter day sunny and bright. She was happy and smiling and he was happy and full of energy. Abner drove the car and she sat beside him like she has always sat, carefree and content. He liked it when she was relaxed and carefree, when she was herself completely. “Sajaana” from “Lamha” played as they hit the highway. They both loved the song. The silence which never needed words had the perfect companion in that song. She smiled as the song played looked at him and smiled again.
As they drove ahead to find the never stepped places they found the place they wanted to be at. With no one in sight, silence that screamed not to be disturbed they found their bliss. The perfect place for them to spend the prefect time together. For them being with each other was like madness.
It was like it wasn’t the gravity that held them anymore. As if their whole centre shifts, the whole universe becomes meaningless. And for that one person you will be all you can be and they want you to be. For those eyes look they at you with faith that you will not let them down. Although, the mere thought of being with each other was enough for them to smile and now when they were actually together time had new depth.
Abner held her hand just when she never expected. Abner held out a flower to Noor as he wished her a happy birthday and Noor was speechless. That was the best moment of the day for her. She blushed. That very moment as he touched her, everything else seemed meaningless to her. Though they were in the world but then they were in the sea where they existed sans everybody else and the floated in love. The touch of his hand was a promise that he made to her and as she held it too she knew he will never let her fall. Noor had the best birthday ever.
Even after living a lifetime together, some people never understand the gravity of love they have and the extent to which it could go. Sometimes they need more time to love that someone special. For Noor each and every second she spent with Abner was a lifetime. She didn’t lived the moments she lived him.
